Welcome to Calabasas

A luxurious, walkable city in Southern California

Calabasas is best known as an affluent celebrity enclave, but there is so much more to this amazing city. It boasts great schools, walkable streets, and a family-friendly atmosphere. With its picturesque scenery and tranquil atmosphere, Calabasas is the perfect place to raise a family or enjoy a peaceful lifestyle. Locals of this welcoming community enjoy the town’s prime location in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains.

The name Calabasas comes from the Spanish word “calabazas,” which means “winter squash.” This is due to the abundance of squash plants in the region. This city has a rich history, including a legend of a spilled pumpkin cart that gave way to the name Calabasas. Locals celebrate this legend every year with the Pumpkin Festival. Calabasas is also home to one of the oldest standing buildings in the area and, conversely, is the newest incorporated city in Los Angeles county.
